- Ragini Upadhyaya
Ragini Upadhayaya a well known Nepalese Artist, graduated fine Arts from Lucknow college of Arts, India in 1982, got British Council fellowship for Printmaking in 1987 - 88 at Peacock Printmakers, Aberdeen, Scotland and Oxford Printmakers, Oxford, U.K.
Further she got grand in 1989 -90 for Germany for Printmaking at Kunst Academy, Stuttgart, Germany. Got Kate and Robart Wilsion Prize, Bradford - U.K. in 1984 and national Award 1979, 85 and 88. She Awarded in 2002 with Late King and Queen - Birendra Ashwarya Memorial Medal.
Best Award- 100 years of Lucknow college of Arts - 2011, Toran Kumari memorial Award -2014.
She has been as visiting lecturer at Lahti Fine Art Academy and Pekka Art Academy - Helsinki. Turku College of Arts, Turku - Finland in - 1996, 2009 as well as Karachi school of Art, Indus School of Art - Karachi, Pakistan - 1996. School of Art and Design, Jamshoro, Sindha - 2006 - 2007. Gave talk program- Helsingborg Museum, Helsingborg, Sweden- 1998-99. Oulu University, Oulu, Finland - 1998, FOMMA, Karachi - 2010 National Art Gallery, Islamabad - 2011.
She has done 58 Solo exhibition including Austria, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Poland, India, Pakistan, Japan, Hong Kong, Nepal and many many Group show in Netherlands, U.K., Italy, Belgium, Thailand, Bangladesh, Germany, Pakistan, India and Nepal.
Her works are in private collection in Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, U.K. Germany, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Netherlands, U.S.A, China, India, Pakistan and in Nepal.
Her Works are also in collection of SAARC Building, Kathmandu, Tribhuwan Airport, Nepal Television, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Late King Birendra Art Gallery, World Bank office - Kathmandu, Fine Art Acadmy Lucknow - India, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Fukuoka - Japan and Bradford Museum, Bradford, U.K. At Present Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Art.
